Start at Ft. Wadsworth, Staten Island
SmartSource supplied 14 Runner Corrals with sound utilizing a total of 90 speakers, cd players and microphones.
Rock n Roll Start Entertainment Mainstage
SmartSource provided a Stageline SL250 Covered Hydraulic Stage with JBL Vertec Line Array front of house sound system, monitor rig, mic package and backline.
Race Start -Verrazano Bridge, Staten Island:
SmartSource supplied 40 speakers rigged to the bridge light posts and ground stacked in the Toll Plaza to project race start instructions, speeches, singing of God Bless America, music and the micing of the Howitzer Cannon so that all runners hear the start cannon at the same time. We also fed sound to the NBC broadcast as well as receive a feed for playback on the bridge.
Course Entertainment Stages:
11 custom built Stages with sound systems for live music entertainment along the marathon course, (2) in Brooklyn, (2) in Queens, (7) in Manhattan.
Columbus Circle Stage: Provided a Stageline SL100 Covered hydraulic Stage with Meyer sound system monitor rig and backline for multiple bands that greet the runners as they enter Central Park at Columbus Circle.
Finish Line Stage: Stageline SL100 Covered hydraulic Stage with Meyer sound system, monitor rig and backline for Saturday nights Pasta Party Fireworks display and The Nerds musical performance. Sunday used for Race announcements, NBC Broadcast feed and another performance by The Nerds.
